It is on! UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo will put his title on the line against former UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar on Feb. 2, 2013 at UFC 156 on Super Bowl weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The UFC promotion announced this super match on FUEL TV’s “UFC Tonight”.
The venue is yet to be determined, but nonetheless this is great news for the world of mixed martial arts.
Edgar and Aldo were originally supposed to headline UFC 153 in Brazil, but a motorcycle accident forced Aldo to cancel his bout Edgar.
Edgar brings an impressive UFC record into his featherweight debut fight.
Aldo on the other hand, has been on a tear in his MMA career disposing of everyone and anyone in his way.
