Patrick Cote wants to “test Alessio Sakara’s chin” at UFC 154 in Montreal

We are less than two weeks away from UFC 154 that takes place inside the Bell Center in Montreal, Quebec on November 17, 2012.

One of Quebec’s most popular fighters Patrick Cote will return to his hometown in La Belle Province and battle Italian-native Alessio Sakara.

This will no doubt be one of the toughest tasks of Cote’s career as he battles a fighter who is much like him that loves to throw leather and leave their opponent lying on the mat out cold. caught up with The Predator to get his final thoughts as he reflects on his upcoming bout with Sakara.

Q) We are less than one week away from the Nov. 17 fights in Montreal, where you will be facing off against Alessio Sakara. Your thoughts just one week out?

A) Can’t wait, I had a full training camp this time. 10 hard weeks. Ready to go !!

Q) This is a big fight for you and your career. How do you feel this fight will play out and why do you feel you will walk out the winner on the 17th?

A) I did everything right for this fight. I’m 100% confident about the victory. It’s the most important fight of my career and I will deliver!

Q) Your fighting in front of your home crowd in Montreal, how important is it not to let the fans down and get the win?

A) Right now, I’m doing this for me, it’s my life and my career on the line, and at the end of the night everybody will be happy.

Q) What are some of Alessio’s strengths and how do you plan to deal with them?

A) He s a very good boxer, fast with good combinations. I’m planning to test his chin. Thats it !!

Q) Where do you see Alessio’s weakness and have you formulated a strategy to capitalize on it?

A) I will test his chin! 😉

It is no doubt that Cote’s strategy will be to implement his striking and power to stop Sakara in his tracks and not to leave it in the hands of the judges.
