Rory MacDonald vs. Carlos Condit rematch booked for UFC 158 in Montreal

Rory asked for it, and he got it! Following MacDonald’s big win over BJ Penn just last week at UFC on FOX 5, Joe Rogan asked him what is next, and MacDonald replied with “I want Condit, let’s do it, give me the rematch in March!”.

It didn’t take long enough for the former interim champ Carlos Condit to accept the challenge on the UFC Tonight show this past week.

According to MMA Fighting and MMA Junkie, the bout is set and underway for the pair to meet at UFC 158 in Montreal, Quebec on March 16, 2013.

MacDonald reflects on his first fight with Condit: “I was just laying there getting beaten on, my face looked like I was the guy from ‘The Goonies’ after. I was embarrassed about my performance and how I held myself.”

Condit and MacDonald fought back at UFC 115 in Vancouver, B.C. where MacDonald was winning both the first and second rounds before getting TKO’d in the third.

Georges St-Pierre and Nick Diaz are slated to fight for the UFC 170-pound strap in the main-event.
