Abu Dhabi Fighting Championships (ADFC) signs with FIC to produce reality show

iSee Entertainment and Events, the company behind the first MMA event in the MENA region; ADFC, is announcing it’s partnership with Fox International Channels (FIC) to broadcast the first season of its highly anticipated MMA reality show: Al Batal.

Al Batal is considered a one of a kind Arabic TV production as the sport of MMA takes on a completely new approach to Arabic TV and given the fact that it is a 100% Arabic product.   Season one will feature the best 14 amateur welterweight Arab MMA fighters that the ADFC team selected after touring the entire Arab world.

These 14 fighters will go through a grueling series of mental and physical tests that will ultimately determine who will leave with an ADFC contract and a 5 figure cash prize.  FIC boasts a comprehensive portfolio of standard definition and majority-owned brands including: FOX, FX, FOX Movies, FOX Sports, STAR World, STAR Movies, National Geographic

Channel, Nat Geo Adventure, and Nat Geo Wild and offer On Demand extensions for select brands. In some markets they operate third party channels on behalf of NBC Universal, AETN and FOX News. In addition, they manage all sales for Sky News International outside of the UK.   As the leader in innovation, FIC has changed the TV viewing experience in the region and brings viewers quality entertainment.

Al-Batal fits perfectly with FICs leading lineup of adrenaline filled sports broadcasts.

Al-Batal will start airing on Fox Movies, Fox Sports and FX, in April 2013. The shooting will take place in the United Arab Emirates and both FIC and iSee are thrilled for what’s to come.
