Unified MMA 15: Flyweight bout confirmed as Roy Park battles Evan Cardinal in Edmonton



Unified MMA is proud to announce an exciting match up that has just been confirmed. Two amazing up and coming fighters, Evan Cardinal and Roy park, in the Flyweight division have signed on to fight at Unified 15 on March 29th in in Edmonton, Alberta.   The promotion caught up with them to find out a little bit about who they are and what they bring to the table.   Evan Cardinal was born and raised in Edmonton Alberta, he has been boxing for many years and won the Alberta Amateur Boxing Championship in 2010. He  has won his two bouts at King of the Cage against Nolan Nelson and James McGrath and comes into this battle undefeated at 2-0. Evan has recently begun training with the team at Hayabusa and is putting in lots of hours to get ready for this fight.

Roy Park is from Nova Scotia and is a long time wrestler. He was the Atlantic Champion in Freestyle Wrestling in 2001 and 2002, and the Eastern Freestyle Wrestling Championship in 2002. Roy also won the Provincial Judo Championship in the same year. He has made a name for himself fighting with Unified MMA after winning his last two matches against Blake Dickens and Parwez Ghulam and is also 2-0. Roy has made a new home for himself at complete Martial Arts and is also putting in many hours to get ready for this fight.

We asked the fighters what they wanted to say to each other before the fight:

Roy: I just want to wish him good luck.

Evan: I hope he has a good training camp and comes ready to fight.
