Canadian UFC veteran Jason MacDonald retires from MMA

One of Canada’s most gifted MMA athletes has retired from MMA. Former UFC contender Jason “The Athlete” MacDonald has officially retired from Mixed Martial Arts competition.
MacDonald will finish his career with a 25-16 fight record, and 6-8 inside the Octagon.
The Red Deer, Alberta native burst onto the UFC scene submitting TUF veteran Ed Herman. He finished top tier opponents like Chris Leben and Rory Singer.
News of the retirement hit home with many across the MMA circuit as fighters and promoters gave their well wishes on MacDonald’s Facebook account.
