Canadian TJ Grant gets UFC lightweight title shot against Ben Henderson at UFC 164

It’s official!  Canadian lightweight TJ Grant will get the chance of a lifetime to capture UFC gold by challenging current title holder Benson Henderson at UFC 164.

UFC 164 is set to take place at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee Wisconsin on August 31, 2013.

Grant, who dominated and destroyed top contender Gray Maynard just a few weeks back, earned himself a shot at the UFC lightweight title.  The Cole Harbour native of Nova Scotia will have a chance to become one of the very few Canadians who have held a UFC championship title.

Henderson, who most recently defended his title against former Strikeforce lightweight champion Gilbert Melendez, will be defending his UFC lightweight title for the 4th time.  He is currently riding a 7-fight win streak in the Octagon.
