UFC 161 Winnipeg: Antonio Rogerio Nogueira injured and out of fight with ‘Shogun’ Rua

The injury bug in Canada is in full effect as another bout has been scratched from the UFC 161 Winnipeg debut set for June 15 at the MTS Centre.

Antonio Rogerio Nogueira suffered a back injury while training and according to SporTV Globo will not be able to heal up in time for his obligations against Shogun Rua.

Currently, UFC officials stated that they are working on seeking a late replacement for Shogun.

This is not the first time a Canadian debut card has been impacted by the injury bug.  The UFC’s first trip to Calgary last July, 2012 had been changed drastically from top to bottom.

UFC 161 will feature a main-event fight between Rashad Evans and Dan Henderson.
