UFC 165 Toronto: Constantinos Philippou vs. Francis Carmont slated for Sept. 21

Two rising middleweights will look for another win in the Octagon as Montreal-based fighter Francis Carmont battles Constantinos Philippou in Toronto, Ontario at UFC 165 which takes place inside the Air Canada Centre on Sept. 21, 2013.

This is a very interesting bout as both fighters are riding a five-fight win streak in the UFC.  One of these two will carry on a six-fight streak following their bout in front of the Canadian audience.

Carmont has enjoyed victories over top tier talent such as Tom Lawlor and most recently Lorenz Larkin.  His chance to shine will come on Sept. 21 if the division darkhorse can blast through Constantinos Philippou.

Philippou has been on a wrecking course himself with wins over Court McGee, Riki Fukuda and his last bout in December 2012 where he scored a big TKO victory over Tim Boetsch.

Philippou has been on the sidelines due to an injury (cut above his eye) and was forced out of his May bout against Ronaldo Souza.

Jon Jones will put his UFC Light Heavyweight title on the line against challenger Alexander Gustafsson in the main-event.
