Fan Poll: Jon Jones heavily favored in title bout with Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 165 in Toronto

MMACanada.net conducted a survey in which fans got to cast their vote on the possible outcome of the UFC light heavyweight title tilt with Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson that takes place on  September 21, 2013 at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

The breakdown of the votes are as follows:

69% of the votes that came in were in favor of the champion Jon Jones retaining his title with a win over Alexander Gustafsson.

29% of the Canadian fans believe Gustafsson will do the impossible and dethrone Jones to become the first-ever European fighter to become a champion in the UFC.

A low 2% were undecided on what the outcome would be.

This is an important match up for the Light Heavyweight division as history will be made if either one comes out victorious.   Jones will look for his record-setting six straight title defenses if he can put the “Mauler” away in Toronto.

Not only can Gustafsson become the first European UFC champ, he will also become the first Swede to ever hold UFC gold.
