Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has added a welterweight scrap to its upcoming “Sin City” return as top Canadian and division contender Rory MacDonald battles UFC legend Robbie Lawler.
MacDonald’s team mate Georges St-Pierre will also be on the card headlining against Johny Hendricks for St-Pierre’s 170-pound strap.
MacDonald (15-1) just disposed of Jake Ellenberger at UFC on FOX 8 last month in Seattle. His quest to fight for the welterweight gold is around the corner, especially with a win over the top tier Robbie Lawler.
Lawler (21-9) scored a second-round TKO victory over Bobby Voelker. He has dropped from 185-pounds and is looking to cause a stint in the welterweight division.
