UFC 166: fight Metric stats show Sarah Kaufman robbed by judge in decision loss

Loud boos could be heard inside the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas last night as Jessica Eye was awarded the split decision victory over Canadian Sarah Kaufman at UFC 166.

Jessica Eye has spent most of her MMA career fighting at flyweight and debuted in the UFC at bantamweight.

Many believe Kaufman did enough damage to earn the decision victory.   Judge Ruben Najera scored the third in favour of Eye, the round that should have gone to Kaufman instead.

This was Najera’s first time judging a major MMA event. If you click the photo below, you will see the Fight Metric round by round breakdown of the fight, most notably the striking exchanges.

There is no doubt that Kaufman won the fight last night.
