Kristof Midoux, longtime friend and cornerman of UFC welterweight kingpin Georges St-Pierre, wants the champ to retire and get on with the other things in life. Midoux also mentioned that he would not corner the champ if he decides to return to action.
See his exact quote via Fighters Only below:
“He is aware that he needs to rest. He must make space for other things in his heart If he decides to return, for any reason, I will not be in his corner. I do not want to see him suffer more, having accomplished what people can only dream of accomplishing. He has another life waiting for him. I think he has many other things to do. He doesn’t need to prove who is the strongest any more, he has proved that he was it. And right now I don’t see any fighter who deserves to fight against him. I would be the first to tell him he cannot retire because there is such and such person he must beat before doing so. [But there isn’t, so] let them all fight for a good year to see who emerges from the crowd.”
