Tristar head trainer Firas Zahabi believes that Georges St-Pierre will return to action someday, possibly in 2015.
St-Pierre has stated that he will never compete inside the Octagon again unless every single one of his opponents goes through a vigorous drug testing process.
His trainer Firas Zahabi, believes he still has some “competitive juice” in him. A quote from ESPN.com “My personal opinion is he still has plenty of competitive juice in him. I don’t think he’ll be anywhere near fight shape until he’s late-34 — mid-34. I think he’s got a few fights in him but I don’t want to speak for the guy. He might retire and no one could blame him.”
Zahabi alo says there will be no definitive answer until GSP gets medically cleared to return and resume training.
For those living under a rock, St-Pierre tore the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee during a wrestling session, forcing him to go under the knife and crushed hopes of a 2014 return to the Octagon.
