UFC 186 ‘Montreal’ Breaking News: Main-event scrapped, new fight on tap

T.J. Dillashaw has been forced out of his much-anticipated rematch against Renan Barao with a rib injury, which was set to go down at UFC 186 on April 25, 2015 in Montreal, Quebec.

That means the Flyweight title fight between Demetrious Johnson and Kyoji Horiguchi will serve as the headlining act, while Quinton Jackson’s long-awaited return to the Octagon against Fabio Maldonado will serve as the co-main event.

This news made official via UFC President Dana White earlier today.

In other news, a broken foot has forced Claudio Silva out of his UFC 186 bout with Nordine Taleb at Bell Centre on April 25. Stepping in to face Taleb in the welterweight bout will be Ontario veteran Chris Clements, who is fresh from a blistering first-round finish of Vik Grujic last November.
