Montreal’s Steve Bosse bumped from card, Rampage Jackson back in to fight Maldonado in Montreal

Quebec’s Steve Bosse, a former hockey player, was set to replace Rampage and meet Fabio Maldonado in Montreal. The court injunction was set in New Jersey and it had seemed that Jackson’s return to the UFC after a two-year absence would be put on hold for the foreseeable future.

Well, things seemed to clear up for the former Bellator fighter as he is now scheduled to compete in a catchweight (215 lbs) against Fabio Maldonado this Saturday in Montreal at UFC 186.

This news comes just days after a complaint by Steve Bosse’s manager about his fighter not getting any promotional push. Bosse’s manager mentions that because Bosse was on the card, they told all their friends and family who bought tickets to watch him fight. What shame it is now that he is not on the card.

“We are happy with the decision from the New Jersey Court allowing Rampage to fight in Montreal this Saturday night,” UFC president Dana White said in a release Tuesday. “I am looking forward to seeing Rampage back in the Octagon.”
