Government of Saskatchewan launches new Profesional Athletics Commission, local promotion Prestige FC gets license

After two long years of negotiations and legislation, the Government of Saskatchewan has finally launched their New Professional Athletics Commission.
Local powerhouse promotion Prestige FC, was the very first Promotion to submit their application for a promoters license. “We feel that our involvement in the process along the way was helpful in helping to get this done” says Crowthers. “And to receive the first Provincial License outside the UFC was very satisfying and rewarding to say the least”.
Prestige FC promises to bring one of the biggest events to Saskatchewan and continue to build their brand into Canada’s largest Pro MMA series. “We feel the newly formed commission has got it right” says Prestige FC owner Derek Daku, “and we are excited to launch the show”.
Prestige FC plans on a Oct 24th show in their flagship city of Weyburn SK. With plans to expand shows across the Province over the next 12 months. Crowthers states, “We will be working with some of the biggest gyms , coaches and athletes from around Canada, North America and the World , to ensure the highest level of fights for our fans.
Prestige FC hopes to have the majority of their athletes and fights signed up over the coming weeks for this first card, and as always, they have many surprises in store for the fight fans of Saskatchewan!
When MMACanada.net asked about potential local stars, Crowthers states: “Rumour has it that Charmaine Tweet could be fighting in her home Province for the first time as a pro now …on this inaugural card. We are also going to be featuring fighters from gyms such as Tristar and other big gyms ….all to be annoucned very soon!”
