Super Fight League Debuts In Canada Tomorrow/Saturday, Aug. 15

LOS ANGELES, CALIF. (August 14, 2015) – World championship Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) franchise Super Fight League will make its much-anticipated Canadian debut with a stacked, seven-fight card at the Stampede Corral in Calgary, Alberta tomorrow, Saturday, August 15.
Highlights from the event, which will be headlined by a bantamweight (135 pounds) showdown between submission ace Roland “Stunning” Delorme and fellow finisher Jesse “Big Cat” Arnett, will be available for viewing on YouTube, shortly after its conclusion.

Priced from $65, tickets “SFL 42: Fight Night at the Corral,” are on sale online at

“We are thrilled to be making our Canadian debut in the great city of Calgary, which has long been recognized for its tremendous talent pool of fighters,” said Super Fight League President George Chung.

“With the help of our local promoter partner Tom Fiddler,” continued Chung, “this event will effectively introduce the Super Fight League product to a live audience in Canada, where we hope to carve out a new destination for our brand of world-class MMA competition.”

The 31-year-old Delorme (9-4, 1 NC) of Winnipeg, Manitoba, will look to rebound from a recent skid that began after an unbeaten run spanning nearly two years and four fights.  To date, all but one of Delorme’s 9 career victories have come by way of TKO or submission.

Also 31 years of age, Arnett (7-4) of Calgary is seeking his fifth consecutive victory, including his third of 2015.  Like his opponent, Arnett has notched all but one of his career wins via TKO or submission.

In the middleweight (185 pounds) co-main event, submission ace Micah Brakefield (6-5) of Coquitlam, BC, Canada will square off with KO artist Chase Degenhardt (8-3) of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

A welterweight (170 pounds) contest will pit aggressive-minded Collin Reuter (11-3-1) of Fairbanks, Alaska against streaking Ryan “Sylvan Lake Strangler” Machan (23-9) of Sylvan Lake, Alberta.  All of Machan’s 23 career conquests have come by way of TKO or submission.

Upstarts Justin “The Animal” Schmit (2-3) of Strathmore, Alberta and Matt “The Kid” Krayco (5-7) of Calgary will meet at a catchweight of 175 pounds.

In a women’s flyweight (125 pounds) scrap, Rachael Swatez (4-4) of Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada will battle Chaleur “The Chainsaw” Jones (1-2) of Calgary.

Steve Roy (1-1) of Winnipeg, Manitoba will take on Dan Jurisic (1-0) of Calgary at light heavyweight (205 pounds).

A flyweight matchup between Vaz Lep (0-0) of Coquitlam, British Columbia and Keegan Oliver (2-4) of Calgary will kick off the event.
