BarDown Staff (@BarDown) – Well Canadian UFC fans, you’re about to have your biggest Canadian representation in the octagon since the days of George St. Pierre. Brock Lesnar, who will be making his highly-anticipated return to the octagon at UFC 200 against Mark Hunt, has decided to represent Canada at the event.
Why you ask? Well, Brock has lived in Saskatchewan for many years, where his beloved farm is. So, at UFC 200 when Brock gets announced, you’ll hear “Fighting out of Maryfield, Saskatchewan… BROCK… LESNAR!!!” Pretty cool, right?
News on this broke when his fight merchandise was released and questions arose as to why his shirt had a maple leaf on the sleeve.
Apparently, Brock just wants to show love to the country he’s made his home. Awesome move by Lesnar and he’s got the Premier of Saskatchewan, Brad Wall, pretty stoked. As we’d imagine the rest of Saskatchewan and Canada will feel on July 9th.
