Historical Event in Canadian Combat Sports History. First Ever Sanctioned Bare Knuckle Boxing Event In Canadian History



Lethbridge, AB Canada – Z Promotions is pleased to announce that Canada’s first ever sanctioned bare knuckle boxing event will take place at Fight Night on Saturday September 28th 2019 at ENMAX Centre in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada.

The Bare Knuckle Boxing Match: Bobby Brents vs. Don Wonch

Wonch is a highly decorated kickboxer out of Ontario and had a successful MMA career as well. He made the leap to bareknuckle boxing and has collected two international titles in the U.K. This Canadian heavyweight is looking to make history on September 28 and become the first ever Canadian bareknuckle boxing heavyweight champion

Brents is a former Bellator and Shamrock FC veteran and is known for his punching power. Brent has never said no to fight and takes on all comers. He recently fought in Dada-5000 bareknuckle event and wants to come to Canada and take home the gold for this historical event.

Other Fights Confirmed For Fight Night On Saturday September 28th Include:

The HeavyWeight Championship: Tony Lopez vs. Maurice Jackson

Lopez has been a staple in mixed martial arts in both the heavyweight and light heavyweight division for over 15 years. He has been Crowned heavyweight champion for multiple organizations and believes he will add another one to his impressive resume. Always going for the finish and leaving it all in the cage.

Jackson has a 33 -1 pro kick boxing record and currently holds a 3-1 mma record. This 6 foot eight 265 pound heavy weight will look to finish Lopez quickly and in decisive fashion. Known for his impressive striking skills don’t expect this heavyweight championship fight to go past the first round.

The LightWeight Championship: Shane Campbell vs. David Jordan

Campbell started his career as an accomplished Muay Thai and Kickboxing fighter winning multiple titles all over the world. Since moving over to MMA, this Canadian has massed an impressive record and continues to collect titles on the way. He looks to add the Inaugural Fight Night Championship to his mantle.

Jordan trains with former UFC fighter Marvin “the Beastman” Eastman in Las Vegas. He is currently riding a 4 fight win streak with all victories coming by way of KO. He looks to continue the winning ways on September 28th when he steps into the cage with Campbell.

The BantamWeight Championship: Denis Puric vs. Terrion Ware

Puric is dominant striker that trains out of the famed House of Champions under the tutelage of Kru Alin Halmagean. Puric always leaves in the cage and always puts on a striking clinic. Puric holds various Kickboxing and Muay Thai titles, most recently winning at Kunlun Fight Night in China.

Ware is a durable fighter who has fought all over including Russia, Europe and North America. While collecting various championships along the way. He looks to add the Fight Night belt to his collection.

Lucas Neufeld vs. Jo Petahtegoose

Lethbridge’s own Neufeld is one of the top prospects in the Canadian Featherweight division. Neufeld always brings a high volume pace and striking to the cage. Always puts on a show for the hometown crowd. His fans follow him everywhere and September 28th should be no different when they fill up ENMAX Centre to watch their favourite fighter go to work.

Petahtegoose is scrapy fighter coming out of Windsor, Ontario. Don’t let the record fool you Petahtegoose has shared the cage with some of the best lightweights and featherweights in Canada. He plans to ride into enemy territory and upset Neufeld in his own backyard.

Melissa Croden vs. Jolinne Dagenaise

Croden is the former Canadian Amateur Champion. When she isn’t training for her next fight she is splitting her time between being a stunt woman and paramedic. The Crowsnest Pass native will look to win in her professional debut in front of her hometown crowd.

Maissioneuve is out of Ottawa, Ontario and currently holds a purple belt in Brazilian jujitsu. She has been waiting to make a professional debut for a few years now and not too many want to step inside the cage with her. This fight will set the tone for the Canadian female bantam weight division

Kolton Menzak vs.Tom Theocharis

Menzak trains out of PFA in Lethbridge with Lucas Neufeld under the direction of Coach Brad Wall. Menzak is a gritty fighter that is able to win in the first round or go the full 15 minutes if need be. Menzak will want to put on a show for all of his hometown fans when steps in the cage with Theocharis on September 28th for this Historical event.

Theocharis is on a 2 fight win streak and will look to continue it in Lethbridge on September 28. He trains under Former UFC fighter Sam “hands of stone” Stout.

Colton Cronkite vs. Keanan Keller

Lethbridge native Cronkite will look to continue his winning streak when he takes on Keller on September 28. He’s riding a three fight winning streak all wins coming via stoppage. He’s one of the top prospects in Western Canada and looks to put the rest the middleweight division on notice

Keller is a Muay Thai fighter and Brazilian jujitsu specialist out of BC. He recently won his pro debut it looks to keep it going when he takes on Cronkite. This will be to the top prospects in Canada facing off. Both top Canadian prospects looking to continue their climb to the top of the ranks.
