Canada! Make your St. Patrick’s Day memorable with Conor McGregor’s Proper Twelve Irish Whiskey (Recipes Inside)

It is an honor when the UFC’s most popular fighter, Conor “The Notorious” McGregor and his team at Proper Twelve send us a bottle of Ireland’s fastest growing Whiskey brand, Proper Twelve.

Proper No. Twelve’s Triple Distilled Irish Whiskey is an ultra-smooth blend of golden grain and single malt with hints of vanilla, honey and toasted wood for a rich complexity.

We asked for some background on how this came about, and what makes Proper Twelve so unique, and the answer is simple.

Founder, Conor McGregor, and his team searched for a place and people that shared the same passion for Ireland and its whiskey. He found this at the oldest whiskey distillery on the Isle of Ireland and with his master distiller created a unique and special blend.

Through much trial and error, they worked together to create a blend of sweet Irish grain and single malt Irish whiskey. The result, a smooth balanced whiskey with hints of vanilla, honey-like sweetness and toasted wood.

So, when you do pick up your bottle of Proper Twelve, know that your money will be going to a charitable cause. As per their website “First responders are the unsung heroes who act with valour and answer the call of duty every day for those in need. Proper No. Twelve is donating $5 for each case sold to local first responder organizations around the world, up to $1MM annually.”

With the countdown to Saint Patrick’s Day on, the good people at Proper Twelve sent us some recipes to enjoy with your family and friends. Saint Patrick’s Day, or the Feast of Saint Patrick, is a cultural and religious celebration held on the 17th of March, the traditional death date of Saint Patrick, the foremost patron saint of Ireland.
