Tips for How UFC Fans can Spend Their Time During the COVID-19 Event Cancellations

Like most sports fans around the globe, UFC fans have had to miss out on attending multiple events with cancellations coming thick and fast since restrictions to stop the spread of COVID-19 were put in place.

The latest events to be added to the “postponed” list June 20 event scheduled to be held in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and the June 27 Austin, Texas event.

With fewer UFC events to choose from, fans will need to fill the void and occupy their time with other activities, but what could replace the UFC?

Honestly, there isn’t very much that can truly replace it but we’ve done our best to come up with some fun activities such as playing online roulette UFC fans can do during the COVID-19 cancellations.

1. Play in an Online Casino

As a result of the cancellations, fight fans are going to need some activities to supply the same kind of thrill as fight night.

What better way to keep yourself entertained than to visit an online casino? You can get your fix of thrills by placing wagers to win big or even simply enjoy playing some games for free from the comfort of your own home.

From online poker to online roulette, virtual casinos can provide hours of excitement when you find yourself missing the octagon.

2. Hone your Fighting Skills and Get Fit Online

You don’t need to be an aspiring UFC champion to take advantage of the benefits that fight training can have on your mental and physical well-being. Whether you are looking for new ways to keep active or you have been missing your regular gym sessions due to the COVID-19 closures, there are online workouts to suit everyone.

Veteran Canadian mixed martial artist, Jeff Joslin has a whole host of fight-based training videos for all ability levels on his YouTube channel. He has stepped his game up even more during the pandemic with some live-streamed workouts as well.

3. Watch the UFC

I know, I know, this whole article is supposed to be a response to the UFC cancellations so how could “watch the UFC” be an option on the list?

Well, UFC fans are much more fortunate than most other sports fans as there is still some action to be watched live. No fans will be able to physically attend the shows, but Dana White and the team have been working hard to put on fights behind closed doors – and even Donald Trump is a supporter of the concept.

The previously canceled event, UFC 249, was successfully held on May 9th thanks to some careful planning. DAZN decided on streaming the whole event.

There are still more events, including the UFC 250 PPV, that remain scheduled and Dana White has even suggested he would live on an island he is calling “fight island” for the entirety of July for a string of UFC fight cards. All of this sounds very promising for the fans.
