Antonio Rogerio Nogueira def. Todd Gouwenberg - TKO R2
This fight was strategic to say the least from start to finish. Round one started off by both fighters cautiously looking for their chance to pounce, before clinching against the cage. Nogueira was able to get the takedown with little success in Gouwenberg's guard. This appeared to be the way the first round played out.. with Nogueira's takedowns that did not really do to much danger to Gouwenberg.
Second Round saw the same sort of action as Nogueira got the takendowns but not being able to work to much ground and pound. GOuweberg later in the round was able to get back to his feet but suprisingly Nogueira was able to connect with a hard body shot that shocked Gouwenberg and winded him. Nogueira took this opportunity to pounce on Gouwenberg and landed knees to the body and punches to the head before the referee saved Gouwenberg at 4:34 seconds of the second round. Gouwenberg stated that he was not happy with his performance but nonetheless he would be back in action and better then ever.
Jason Day def. David Loiseau - Split Decision
Loiseau opened the fight with an intense flying axe-kick. That appeared to be the highlight of the round. Loiseau was able to take Day down and had little success in working past Day's guard.
Heading into the second round Loiseau opened up with another deadly high kick. The crowd loved it! The two fighters got into the clinch and worked against the fence which ended up on the ground in Day's guard. Nearing the end of the round Day managed to reverse the guard and ended up on top of Loiseau and rained down some bombs that forced Loiseau to turn over and give his back. With few seconds left, Day was not able to capitalize on that as the round came to an end.
Round three showed both fighters keeping their distance and working along the cage. The judges awarded this "split-Decision" fight to Jason Day. The fans were booing that as many believe Loiseau won that fight. He was dissapointed with the loss but nonetheless you never leave it to the judges.
