Raw Combat "Resurrection" set for Calgary Friday, June 20th at the Max

VANCOUVER (May 22, 2008) - Raw Combat Productions today announced the launch of their Promotions Division along with their debut event, Raw Combat - "Resurrection" scheduled for Friday, June 20th (7:30 p.m) at the Max Bell Center in Calgary, Alberta.

Working in association with Calgary based Legacy Fighting Championship (LFC), Raw Combat will be taking the action to the next level as they deliver an explosive evening of non-stop entertainment for Alberta's fight fans.

Headlining the Light Heavyweight Main Event, King of the Cage Canadian Champion, Travis "The Gladiator" Galbraith (14-5-0) will be looking to defend his territory in what will prove to be a hard hitting face off with East LA based UFC veteran, Hector "Sick Dog" Ramirez (7-3-1).

In a highly anticipated Welterweight Title clash, Hook n Shoot Champion, Dan "The Handler" Hornbuckle will be turning up the heat as he attempts to stop the fast rising Team Bushido standout, Nabil "The Thrill" Khatib.

In an all Canadian Middleweight showdown, Calgary's own Andrew Buckland will step up to his greatest challenge yet as he prepares to face the extremely dangerous and highly experienced UFC veteran, David "The Crow" Loiseau.

"This is a project that's been in development for some time now," stated Raw Combat CEO, Dave Feser. "We're very excited to be working with Legacy Fighting on our debut event... It's great to be kicking the action off in Calgary."

Leading the effort will be Raw Combat President, Dave Houshiar. Widely recognized as as a power player on the Canadian MMA scene, Houshiar (the former Hardcore Championship Fighting President) has been responsible for organizing some of the most exciting events to ever hit Canadian arenas. Promoting cards that featured such international superstars as Aleksander Emelianenko, Gegard Mousasi, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, Evangelista Santos, Mike Pyle and numerous others, Dave is
completely at home operating in the big leagues of the sport.

Adding to an already star-studded evening, fans will have an opportunity to meet the always colorful "New York Bad Ass", Phil
Baroni and SpirtMC Heavyweight Champion, Denis Kang who will be on hand to provide an extremely entertaining and unique blend of cage-side commentary.
