TUF Winner Mac Danzig in Toronto

If there is one word to describe Mac Danzig, I would probably have to say "Sincere". Danzig, who won the ultimate fighter 6 was considered by fans worldwide to be a little "cocky" on television. In real life however, that is not the case!
Danzig landed in Toronto on Friday afternoon and got prepared for a busy yet fun and exciting promotional weekend. On Saturday July 19th, Fight Depot, the one and only MMA apparell franchise hosted a meet and greet for the fans at their two locations. From 11:00am-2:00pm, fans in the Vaughan Ontario region got the chance to meet Danzig at Fight Depot. Autographs and pictures were free courtesy of Fight Depot. From 3:00pm-6:30pm fans in the Oakville region of Toronto also got to meet and interact with Danzig at Fight Depot's second location grand opening. Many fans came out to meet the UFC star that day and also had the chance to buy some of the best MMA gear available upto 50% off.
Following the autograph/meet & greets, Danzig was the guest at the Diesel Playhouse, hosted by The Substance Group and MMACanada.net. Hundreds of fans came out to a sell out showing of both UFC Fight Night and Affliction Fights. When I spoke with Danzig, his reaction was "Wow, I cant believe how many fans their are in Toronto! Its awesome and they are very kind".
The next day (Sunday), Danzig hosted a seminar at Victory Fight Club in Woodbridge Ontario. The turn out was great and the fans who participated in this seminar got some really hands on tips from Mac Danzig himself. The seminar ran from 12:15pm-3:45pm that demonstrated takedowns, striking, combo's and sweeps. At the end of the session, participants were able to have a private Q&A session with Danzig about his upcoming fight against Clay Guida, training and nutrition, etc..
It was truley an action packed fun-filled weekend. Danzig stated that he would like to visit Canada again. Yet another satisfied superstar! OH CANADA!
