Haggersville, Ontario - December 13th, Anderson "The Spider" Silva, the world's best pound for pound mixed martial artist known for his impeccable aim and lethal clinch, makes his first appearance in Toronto to greet his fans and support the idea of bringing pro mixed martial arts (MMA) to Ontario.

Essentially, Ontario is at a standstill when it comes to MMA; demand is at a supreme high for MMA and everyone is trying to cash in, except Ontario cannot supply that growing market. "The Canadian Criminal Code in section 83.1 conflicts with the definition of MMA and its rules and regulations" explains Theo Toney a Karate specialist.

Others argue that by sanctioning pro MMA in Ontario, we can provide a home for top local fighters who normally travel to Las Vegas, Atlantic City, or other brawling centres to find work, and financial gains can be found in the loyal MMA market that will spend and inject the economy with income.  Three UFC events helped Ohio generate $30 million and Tennessee recently joined the ranks to support MMA in their state to help their economic development.

Fight Sport Championship (FSC) wants to help make pro MMA legal in Ontario by educating fans about the positive influences of the sport.  FSC founded just a few years aso, guided by professionals passionate about the sport, is on its rise as MMA becomes the most popular sport in the world yet the market is uneducated about the strategic sport that requires discipline, focus, respect and honour.  "Our vision is to bring Martial Arts back to its true form - a link to spiritual and religious beliefs and philosophies.  It used to be that way; it didnt used to be about the blood and glory." Sam Parker stated (an owner of FSC)

FSC is able to hold a sanctioned fight in the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena (ILA) in Hagersville, ON due to the Native jurisdiction the event borders on.  FSC's first show, Evolution, will take place on December 13th at 12PM and Anderson "The Spider" Silva will make his appearance and corner his apprentice Katel Kubin.
