Montreal, Quebec - Due to injuries to many of its main card fighters, Instinct MMA has no choice but to delay its next event, Instinct 3: Thatch vs Grandmont, originally scheduled for Saturday, February 25th at Sherbrooke’s Centre de Foires.
After meetings with representatives of the Centre de Foires and the athletic commission earlier this week, the promotion is happy to announce that the event won’t be delayed too far away as the new date has been set to Saturday, March 31st
Rescheduling the event became a must when many fighters were forced to withdraw due to injuries, resulting in 6 of the 8 fights on the main card being in jeopardy. “I’ve seen my share of injuries over the course of my career, but never so many on one card!” stated Instinct president Stephane Patry.
“We had reached a point where we could not offer the fans a product worthy of what was originally announced. Our main goal as a company is to ensure that our clientele gets their money’s worth when they come to an Instinct event and leave with every intention of attending our next card. The only way we could fulfill that commitment was to delay the event,” added Mr. Patry. The card is now scheduled for March 31st, much to the pleasure of most the fighters who, when informed of the change, quickly remarked that this would allow for a longer training camp and provide time to heal some nagging injuries. When questioned as to how this curve ball will impact the organization’s longer term plans, Mr. Patry was very clear: “This is no way changes our plans for this spring built around the return of our most popular fighter, Steve Bosse. Actually some great news will be announced regarding Instinct 4 featuring a card that will be very, very impressive.”
Fans who had already purchased tickets to Instinct 3 will see them honored on March 31st, however refunds are available at the original point of purchase. Tickets are available now on the Admission Network by phone at 1-855-790-1245 or on their website at www.admission.com
