Las Vegas, Nevada – Dana White, President of the Ultimate Fighting Championship© organization, has issued the following statement on the Nevada State Athletic Commission’s report on UFC 143 interim welterweight championship contender Nick Diaz.

"I am beyond disappointed that he tested positive for marijuana," said White. "It is now in the hands of the Nevada State Athletic Commission.”

Nick Diaz suffered a five-round decision loss to Carlos Condit.  The pair were suppose to meet again in a rematch this summer but it appears that will no longer be the case

My question is ,,,a suspension for the positive test will result in a suspension but at best 90 days so why couldnt they fight in the summer. If the suspension is longer i would be surprised being that steriod testing that comes up positive has put fighters on suspension for less time.

No way to book a fight while a fighter is under suspension, if he is suspended his license is not in effect. Also, the legth of suspension is unkown at this point, especially considering it is a second time.

I think is bs, because Chael Sonan tested positive for steroids or what they call it "higher than normal hormones", how is weed so bad and controversial as compared to steroids, I don't get it?!?!?!?!
