UFC on Fuel TV 1 took place inside the Omaha Civic Auditorium in Omaha, Nebraska, and featured a welterweight duo between two of the divisions aggressive fighters Diego Sanchez vs. hometown boy Jake Ellenberger.

The pair battled for three straight rounds.  Ellenberger had the precise striking in the first and second round but it was Diego Sanchez who almost put away the "Juggernaut" as he dropped Ellenberger and landed blow after blow until the bell sounded.

In co-main event action Stefan "Skyscraper" Struve continued his win streak with a nice TKO victory over Dave Herman in the second-round.
